Children (Early) Treatment

Children Should Be Seen By An Orthodontist By Age 7
Both the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists recommend that all children have their first orthodontic evaluation by age 7.
Early visits allow orthodontists to monitor the growth of the jaw and recommend further orthodontic treatment if it becomes necessary. Not everybody needs early orthodontic treatment. Dr. Daly will evaluate every child to determine what is the best option.

Reasons For Early Treatment
1. Growth modification to correct severe bite problems and enhance facial aesthetics
2. Prevent eruption problems such as early loss of primary teeth or permanent tooth impactions
3. Improve speech or breathing problems
4. Prevent or treat a dental trauma
5. Improve oral hygiene
6. Correct an anterior or posterior crossbite
